XP from TTC>35: Should I get a CBEFM?

I'm with an RE and waiting 1-3 cycles to do IUI#2 (have my WTF appt this coming Monday).  My chance of conceiving without intervention each month is only 5%.  I use O sticks and chart.  Not sure if CBEFM is worth it.  When I did IUI#1 I was on 100mg Follistim with a trigger and was monitored so no real need for O sticks or CBEFM.

I sort of want one now because I want to TTC while waiting for IUI#2 but those suckers are expensive (but of course cheap compared to the cost of IUI). 

Opinions?

I personally would not.  I find OPKs and charting to be good enough.

I just recently bought one. I have a friend though who swears by one. She said her SIL struggled for 2 years to get pregnant and her first cycle using it she got a bfp. Maybe just luck, but who knows. The only thing I like is how it tells you high fertility days that a opk does not pick up. I hope I helped some. I thought about buying one forever and then just went to the store and did it.

Doesn't it take a few cycles for it to accurately predict your cycle?

I love mine- you can get a pretty decent price on ebay, I bought a brand new one 2 years ago and still buy my sticks there.  The first few cycles you may get many "High" readings as it gets to know your body but it should still pick up your peak on the first cycle.

Thanks guys.  I didn't know that it took a few cycles to learn your body.  Makes sense.  I'll check out ebay.
