poking additional holes in nipple

8 weeks old and still no luck getting DD to take a bottle. I've heard of people poking an extra hole or two in the nipple. I tried a safety pin but that didn't really do anything. Anyone know how to get another similar hole in there?

Usually bf babies need a slower nipple not a faster one.

Take a scalpal and cut an x in the nipple! GL!!

you can buy fast flow nipples at the store that have a bigger hole and let more liquid out at a time. But he's awfully young to go to a fast flow nipple, it would like flood his mouth.

Don't the manufacturer's instructions specifically say NOT to poke extra holes/try to enlarge holes?

They sell nipples with one, two, three holes in it... I know ive seen Avent brand with these types of nipples
