Sterilizing sippy cups

I guess I'm still in bottle mode because I was prepared to boil the sippy cups until I read specifically "do not boil". (Tommee tippee)  I just washed them in warm soapy water.  Is that really all I need to do?  Did you do anything special with yours?

Re: Sterilizing sippy cups

  • Hmm...I totally boiled my tommee tippee (whoops, should have read the packaging!) But no harm done, so I think it's okay if you'd feel better boiling it, just don't leave it in too long.

  • My sippy cups said not to boil either. I think the boiling was just necessary for the newborn stage and not beyond.

With DS #1 and DD I just sent them through the dishwasher on the sterilize cycle before I used them.
