what the heck do you do? esp at this young age when you need to have them in the seat because they are too young to go in the cart. I want to go to target, but there is no way I can use the dsng and the cart....... do you put yourstuff in the basket of the dsng, somehow get the twins in the cart with the carseat (told that was unsafe by someone - true?).... hell I though I was looking at freedom and I really am not! I tried to go to a department store with them recently - what a nightmare - there is no way to fit through the racks!!!
Re: shopping with twins question (now that we are "allowed" out)
I used the DSNG a lot for Target and small grocery store runs. You can actually get quite a bit in the basket. If I needed more than that, carry a bag or two (I have a huge Ikea bag that works great). If I needed a big grocery store or Target run, I'd either try and do it when I didn't have the girls or have DH with me so one had the stroller and the other the cart or have two carts with one infant seat on each. A couple times, I wore one baby (in a Bjorn) and had one in the infant seat on the top of the cart. I do like Sam's and Costco though because with their larger carts, I could put one infant seat on the top and one in the basket and still have space to put stuff in the basket and underneath the cart. Going shopping is do-able, but the logistics are challenging!
Oh yeah, I actually had pretty good luck fitting around mall racks with the DSNG.

I just recently went to Target with the twins alone as our first day out.
I took the DSNG and used the basket underneath the stroller for stuff and I also brought my HUGE diaper bag for storage. Anything at the store that is on a hanger can be hung on the stroller handles.
Now, you can't do a huge shopping trip this way, but the basket can carry a decent amount.
Good luck!!
I have found that using the stroller with one carseat and placing one baby in the rear seat layed down- works best. This way you can use the stroller basket and I also carry a store basket. I have seen another twin mom place her twins in her baby jogger stroller and push it while pulling the cart...dunno how she can steer.
Best of luck! trial and error to find out what works best for you. I have discovered that purchasing a new stroller that is more convienient would be in my best interest.
