Would you get a massage during the 2ww?

Or more like the 1ww?  I am going out to visit my mom this weekend and she booked massages for both of us.  I don't want to put my life on hold while ttc but I also worry about the toxins that are released.  Should I cancel?

my RE said that it is fine (once PG confirmed though - no full body massages til second tri). You can always ask therapist to not do your feet, stomach or far lower back areas.

I would get one. I really believe that at that point, before it's possible to know you are pg, our bodies generally do a good job of protecting the embryo from harm.

You could always get a pregnancy massage.

Thanks ladies!  I know that I'm probably just being overly cautious and it's likely okay to get a massage.  After doing all the supposedly right things the first time around and still losing a baby to severe brain abnormalities, the whole area of rapid spinal cord/brain development during those first few weeks really freaks me out.

I don't blame you at all for being freaked out given your history.  I'm in the same boat so I'm trying extra hard to think the way I did before I lost the baby since I know I was taking all reasonable precautions.  It was kinda hard to type out my response b/c my body didn't protect my baby early in the first trimester, which is when I believe I contracted cmv.
