How do you keep LO from chewing on the edges? DD gets to the edge and pulls off the piece and wants to chew on it. I keep moving her to the middle but she works her way back to the edge. Ugh!
I can't stop them! They have pulled up, seperated, chewed on, every piece from the minute we bought the mat. I just let them do it, I can't be bothered to try to stop them anymore!
It is the zero, and it has some marks, but at least she isn't crying. Sad I know.
She actually pulls of the whole edge piece and sticks it in her mouth, she hasn't figured out how to pull out the letters and numbers yet. I'm paranoid that she might chew off a piece and choke or something. Ok, maybe I'm crazy :-).

We have the One Step Ahead one and A has bitten and chewed and pulled on it with her teeth really hard and so far not even a tiny piece has broken off. I think it takes a lot to get it to take a chunk out. Maybe I should try it. I can see my DH looking at me like I was crazy now LOL.

Luckily DD isn't much interested in the edges to chew (lifts them up to look under, shove toys under, but has only kind of chewed it once or twice). My cat on the other hand, has eaten half the tabs and then pukes them somewhere in the house later.

Re: If you have a foam playmat, come in.
I just let her chew on it. Is that bad?

LOL! Yes, exactly like that!
I don't... his is the one with long skinny pieces around the outside. He has pulled almost all of them off and uses them for teethers.
