LO slept from 10:00pm to 6:00 am the last two nights. My boss who has been a pediatric nurse for 30 years says that it might not be something to get used to at this age- that it is highly unusual for a BF baby to sleep that long a stretch regularly.
What is your experiences?
Re: STTN- is it a fluke?
My DS has been an amazing sleeper since birth. The night he came home from the hospital, he slept 5 hours straight and just kept improving from there. I BF for the first 5 weeks, and then went to formula but that had no effect whatsoever on his sleeping habits. He started fully STTN (8+ hours straight) at about 7 weeks. I have yet to have a completely sleepless night with him-he's never had day/night confusion.
He has regressed in the past few nights since he's hitting the "4 month wakeful" and got up 3 times last night, so it's definitely possible to sleep well for an extended period then regress. Don't count on anything sticking at this young an age-just try to enjoy it while it lasts.
HTH.
I used the same photographer as qtpa2t and she has a bunch of jersey knit fabric pieces she uses to swaddle the babies. She told me she bought them from the fabric store.
