Texas Babies

AW: I think I am getting my new car this week!

EEEEEEeeeekkk!!!  I am SOOOOOO excited!  DH is FINALLY on board on getting a new vehicle.  I have been talking about it for almost a year and especially with a new baby... there is no way to fit a third person in the back of my Jeep Liberty with two carseats.  We only have Danielle part time - but still.

I think what sealed it for him is that he only drives his 15+ yo Maxima once or twice a week and needs to charge the battery EVERY time he drives it.

So it looks like I will get my 7 passenger Nissan Pathfinder before the weekend is over.  Ha - I think DH is making it my anniversary present (3 years tomorrow).  Fine by me!

  • Yay! So exciting! I'm still trying to figure out the best way to put the infant car seat and Audrey's convertible in the back of my Honda CRV. There will be no room for a 3rd person in the back anymore, but we only have people from out of town in the back usually once in a while.

We need a new car for Mike, but unless we win the lotto, I don't think that is happening any time soon!

  • Awesome! I cant even fit DD's convertible car seat in my car. I have to use the infant one still....no clue what we will do for 2 kiddos!
  • Thankfully we won't have that worry. Kat, being 17, will be able to drive when the baby gets here. We won't need but ONE car seat...unless this turns out to be twins but I don't think so since we had the emergency ultrasound at almost 8 weeks and only saw one baby/heartbeat. We have two matching Corolla LEs but that wouldn't mean any more room in the back than any of the other cars mentioned. We won't need a bigger car...just at some point a 3rd car for Kat to drive...we are thinking of a cute little Yaris hatchback for her if we could find one for cheap...or a bug. :)

Hope you enjoy your new car!

  • that is so awesome Dawn!
