Holistic moms group

I found a local chapter for a Holistic moms group. The monthly meeting is tonight and it is on AP.  I have signed up to attend and decide if the group is right for me before becoming a member. I would consider myself on the LIte side of Holistic but I am looking forward to meeting new people, especially those with children with whom I have similar interests with.  (My friends where I currently live only have interest in Happy Hour lol )  I'll keep you posted as to how it goes.

    I am - although our chapter just left the national group and is now Holistic Families...so we don't have fees or anything now. I really like the group - I haven't had a chance to attend a lot of the meetings, but we have a weekly playgroup that is great. There is definitely a wide range of 'crunchiness' in our group.

    I saw a meeting advertised at our local organic grocery recently & thought about checking it out.

    Yup, I'm a member of 2 Holistic Moms groups and co-leader of one of them.  It's a great way to meet other like-minded people!  We have meetings with speakers (tonight we have one with meditation) and play groups and moms nights out.  The members vary with their levels of "crunchiness."  There are some moms that are totally crunchy (down to freezing their placenta) and some are slightly crunchy!  When you join, you have access to their local and national loops (yahoo groups) so it's a great resource.  Also, in October, is the national conference (held in NJ) so that's a great thing too if you're local!

    I've checked out this website.  Unfortunately, there isn't a chapter in my area.  I would definitely be interested.  Sad

    Thats where I actually learned about the group also. The bulletin board a wonderful invention. : )

    If you're interested, you can start one!  There's information on the website about it!  I know 2 girls who are moving out of state and they are starting new chapters.

    Well, I go to the Morris county group and co-lead Sussex county.  My primary group is sussex county.  Are you going to the Monmouth  county group?  I hear that's a huge group!

    It's funny that you mention this.  I've been meaning to make it to a local meeting.  I was just looking the websites of 2-3 that are kind of near me...and figuring out when I can make it to one.

     

    I'd love to hear how/if you enjoy the meetings and people.I think I'll enjoy going and learn a lot when I finally make it to a meeting.
