I get them frequently as an adult, esp during allergy season. It almost feels like something tickling to begin with, and then it progresses into being sore and can actually look a bit red on the outside. Also pay attention to the lymph node behind your ear. That being swollen can also be indicative. If you have an infection, depending on if it's inner or outer or a combination, they'll either give you oral antibiotics or ear drops.
I have ear issues because my ear canals are tiny apparently.
My ear infections are very very painful (to the point of tears), they cause major pressure headaches and you might feel like stabbing yourself in the ear would be relief.
That is what mine feel like.
I hope you don't have one. Your throat/sinues/ears are all connected so it is not unlikely to feel pain in your ears when you have a sore throat.
Okay. I have sore lymph/glands going down the left side of my neck all the way up to my left ear. My throat isn't sore but it feels "clotty" and when I swallow I can tell the glands or whatever are swollen down my neck. It hurts to touch from the outside and there is a lot of pressure in the back of my head.
My right ear is itching/tingling down low towards the throat now too. The left ear has been going on for two-three days and is PAINFUL. I can hardly turn my head at times.
I'm cleanign sinuses with saline solution twice a day and drinking tons of water.....I need to go to the doc huh?

Yup, I would go to the doc if it's been a few days and nothing's better.
