So i found out on Easter I was preggos. My period had been going a little crazy the last 4 months so missing a period wasn't abnormal for me. I missed march's period and took a test two weeks later and negative. So I had this feeling as i was grocery shopping the night before easter and my tests came out positive. The next day i was cleaning out my car I hurt my already injured spine and had to go to the er. They basically couldn't do ne thing to help my spine but wanted to verify the pregnancy and make sure the baby was ok. I was in the worst pain i have ever been in. When they were doing a pelvic exam my whole lower body would tense up and get really tight and it was nothing but pain, i mean my teeth were chattering from the pain, i couldnt move my lower body. So they sent me to get a ultra sound. This was the only good part of my day i thought. lol now it was just getting threw it with out have a freak out with my back. They told me it was to early to see ne thing on the ultra sound but everything looked good. they told me it might be a possiblilty of twins since im showing early at this point i was on pain killers and forgot to ask the questions like how far along ? and such. I just wanted to know what are the red and blue lines on the ultra sound?
Re: Red and blue lines on ultrasound?
I'm sorry, I really have no idea what you're talking about. There wasn't any color on either of my u/s. Maybe it has something to do with the brand of the machine they were using. What type of u/s did you have, and where were the lines? And you physically are showing at 4 weeks (which seems very unlikely, anything "showing" at this point, twins or not, is probably just bloating), or they saw something on the u/s that made them think you were having twins?
Congratulations!

Red & blue is a doppler study, which shows blood and fluid flow. No concern.
When is your OB appt?
That was honestly the most random irrelevant information that had nothing to do with your actual question.
You are not actually showing yet, at best it is just bloat. PP have already explained the red and blue lines.

I didn't even show at 4 weeks (or any time close to that) with my twins. Doctors say some dumb things sometimes...
The red and blue was just blood flow (veins/arteries).
Sorry about your back, hope you feel better soon!
