Re: Girls names

  • Because the middle and last names will have many syllables, I would go with a 1 or 2 syllable first name.

  • Amara is really pretty

me too. i like ada [spelled like that]. i would go with one or two syllables for the first name and avoid those with Vs because it is difficult to say with your last name.

  • Cara is my favorite, I love that name! But Amara is really pretty too.
  • My favorites are Olivia and Ava.

I honestly had never really heard Amara before, but it does sound pretty.

  • I like Tessa the best.  And I agree with your DH, I don't like Amara.

Amara, Liana, Tessa, and Aida are nms, Ava and Olivia have too many v's with the last name imo, I don't like Leona with the mn you picked. I do really like Nadia and Cara though.

Amara  (pro: Ah mar ah)....(my top pick..I'm still trying to convince my husband! He's not loving this name) Like this one.

Liana (pro:lee-ah-nah) Too similar to middle name.

Ava My favorite, but very frequently used these days.

    Olivia Another nice name.

    Nadia NMS

Tessa This is nice and not too common.

Cara A nice name, but I'm not loving it with mn for some reason.

Aida NMS. Makes me think about opera too much.  :)

Leona Again, way too similar to mn.

  • Out of the names you list I love Nadia, beautiful name you don't hear every day.

Olivia and Ava are too popular and I am tired of them

Liana and Leona will not work with the middle name of Leonor IMO

Tessa and Aida remind me of little old ladies in a knitting contest.

    Cara is NMS

A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

  • I just love Tessa and Cara.
  • I like Nadia!  Unique and very pretty.
  • I like Ava, Olivia, Nadia, and Cara.

Liana and Leona are too rhyme-y with the mn.

  • Amara -- pretty!

Liana -- nice, but it's going to be hard to get it pronounced the way you want it... you might find yourself constantly nit-picking ppl's pronouncations of it

Ava -- like it, but super popular

Olivia -- my fave out of your entire list

    Nadia -- not a fan

Tessa -- kinda cute... I like that it's more unique

Cara -- it's ok, but wouldn't stand out in a crowd

Aida -- prefer it spelled "Ada", nice name

    Leona -- really don't like

  • I really like Cara and definitely agree that with your last name a shorter name might be best.

  • First of all, I LOVE the middle name! :) Ava is my favorite, but I'm biased because my daughter is Ava Isabella. :)

  • Here are my first thoughts with each name...

Amara -- Going to be a pain to tell people how to pronounce the name but it is pretty

Liana -- same with the pronouncing and its not my fav

Ava -- like it, but very popular

Olivia -- love it, have it on my own list for a DD someday

Nadia -- character on american pie who shows her boobs was named Nadia

Tessa -- sounds a little wussy....

Cara -- sounds like a generic name, nothing too special

Aida -- is this like the sarah mclaughlin song?

    Leona -- don't like

  • I like Amara and Nadia
