I have this seat installed rear facing for my 10 month old and I know it is in there really tight. My problem seems to be with getting the straps on my DS tight enough. I know that they are supposed to be only as tight as to allow two fingers between them and the strap, but I can fit a hand or two and I can't pull it any tighter. I have had a friend try too and she couldn't make it any tighter either. Any suggestions? Or is anyone else having this problem??? TIA

Re: Britax Boulevard owners????
I've never had that problem with either of mine. Do you think the strap is getting stuck on something?
GHM said on here once that she gets a better fit rearfacing if she takes out the rubber things on the straps. Maybe you could try that.
Yes, definitely take the HUGS (rubber piece) off the straps--they're mandatory FF, but optional RF. That's the first thing I've always done with my britax seats
Check the back and make sure the straps are not caught on anything.
The boulevard is a ratcheting system for tightening. With some seats, you just pull hard and it tightens. With the boulevard (and most new britax seats), you have to pull, pull, pull, etc in quick motion. Pull upward (almost toward the child) repetively, and you'll notice the straps tightening. It can take some time, which is frustrating. Let me know if that doesn't work.
