TTC after 35

back from bump break & RE update

Hi ladies-

Thanks again for all your support last week.  I took a weekend break from bumping. . .

Friday, DH and I went to the RE together and she gave us our test results.  She said the SA was good (didn't give numbers, I'm just taking it at face value).  My numbers were borderline (not surprising as I will be 40 in a little over a week).  One website I looked at ranked my FSH as "fair"

She suggested we go straight to IVF.  She said at my age it had the best chance of working.  She put the request in to my insurance on Friday.  If I get approved (please, please, please) we should be starting around the end of May. . . yikes!

My early birthday dinner Friday night with DH was great.  Totally romantic, we got in early, we had a drink at the hotel bar, took a "nap" we stayed the night and went to lunch the next day.  AF was even polite enough to stay away until Saturday night so that we could enjoy Friday  (and Saturday Embarrassed) in our hotel room!

I hope you all had a good weekend!

I'm so glad you had a great weekend and that the results were fairly good.  Sending vibes that your insurance approves the IVF!!!

Yes Glad you had a nice birthday weekend!

  • Yes to answers and a plan!  Hope your insurance comes through for you!  Sounds like you had a great birthday too.  Good luck moving forward.
I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...

  • Thanks ladies!  This cycle is just us (there's always a chance for a "Hail Mary" right?)  And, if BlueCross gives us the ok, we'll start next cycle.

  • Very nice!  Fair is fair, not great but not bad either.  I think that's actually good news.  I'm so hoping your insurance kicks in.
