Hi Ladies - I'm currently deciding between two strollers ... the Uppa Baby Vista 2010 or the Baby Jogger City Elite (Single).
I'm leaning towards the Uppa Baby because I like that it comes with a bassinet in addition to the various position seat angle adjustment it offers. I think that for the majority of our purposes (walking around the neighborhood, stores, etc.) it may be most practical? With the Baby Jogger, I like how easy it is to fold up in addition to the all terrain wheels. I know I can get the infant car seat adaptor as well.
We like to go for walks outside, etc. not necessarily planning to run or go off road. Do any of you have any opinions or recommendations for either? I feel like it's easier to buy a car than to pick a stroller! Neither are cheap so I want to be sure we chose the right option for us. TIA!
Re: Stressing about the stroller decision
DH and I felt the exact same way about the stroller decision. We went to Buy Buy Baby this weekend and had a personal shopping appt. where they showed us the ins and outs of the Uppa Baby and Baby Joggers (and a few others). For us, the City Mini was the best choice and the ease of folding put it over the edge. However, there are many benefits to the Uppa - like the bassinet and the rear facing seat.
Perhaps there is somewhere you can go to try both side by side? It is really what made the decision easier for us.
We were in a similar situation. Won't don't necessarily run, but still wanted an all terrain because we want to be able to use it at the beach, at a picnic, on a casual hike, or even just for a walk in our neighborhood. So, we went with the City Elite and the car seat adapter. Both are nice, but the easy fold and all terrain wheels sold us on the Elite. The Elite has an almost full recline, which is nice too. While the bassinet option on the Uppa Baby is nice, it didn't really push us towards the Uppa Baby. Also, FYI, the 2009 model is on sale for a ridiculously low price right now at albeebaby.com:

Wish I had known before we bought ours!!! GL.
I stressed over strollers for months!!!! I highly recommend waiting until after your LO is born, that way you will have more of an idea on what your needs are. We ended up getting a BOB and I absolutely have no regrets. I'm not a jogger, but it's great for going on walks. I even use it at the mall, Target, etc.
GL!!!
I posted on here and someone told me about the Bumbelride Indie- I didn't want to reopen my stroller search but I did and I'm glad! It has everything I want: all terrain tires, easy fold, super light (lighter than both uppa and BJ), you can get the bassinet option and it faces you, car seat can fit on it etc. Check it out- the 2010 model it best.
THIS!!!
We waited. I bought a Graco Snugrider stroller frame that holds just the infant seat, pushed that for 2 months before I made a decision. It gave me time to get a feel for what our stroller needs were. I really thought I was going to go with a BOB Revolution pre-baby, almost bought one, then decided to wait because I figured I wouldn't need it immediately. I'm so glad I waited because a jogger was not my style at all and not what I wanted in a stroller. We ended up with a Bugaboo Frog and couldn't be happier.
WAIT!!!
Wait until after you have your LO. I would just get a snap and go if I had it do over again. I never use the stroller I bought before I had DS. Our main stroller is the City Mini and it suites our needs perfectly.
Check out this one too:

Similar features (i think) for cheaper. My friends have had theirs for a year and LOVE it.
I own 2 similar. An I'coo Targo (much like the uppa) and a BOB. I absolutely love the BOB. I bought it when my son was 1 and it's been a fantastic stroller. I don't jog but it's great for outdoor use and I use it as my everyday stroller. For our new baby I purchased an I'coo because I really wanted a stroller that was rear facing for the first year. The bassinette is a nice feature but honestly, I'm not sure how much it's going to get used.
It's probably time for you to just pick one and stop stressing. Worst thing that happens is you purchase a stroller, don't really like it after a few months you sell and buy a different one. Resale on strollers, at least in my area isn't too shabby.
You can use the Vista as a snap-n-go. Unlike the other full-sized strollers, you take the stroller seat out and snap the infant carrier in when using that. It's a nice feature since it doesn't make it so cumbersome.
This is our ideal scenario. The price of the UppaBaby is the only thing holding us back. The Bumbleride Indie is another front-runner for our big trips and to handle the snow/slush in the winter.
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.

Also, have you considered the Baby Jogger City select? If you plan on having more than one child you might consider the adaptability of this stroller. Similar to the Uppa Baby but the second seat is an actual full second seat and not a rumble seat without the support/cushion.
We bought a peg perego pliko p3 for our first and we can still use it when we will be taking one child out but it would have been nice to have invested that cash into something that I could have used for multiple children and not sitting in the garage for 'what if' scenarios.
Go in and compare the two IRL, it's well worth the extra $$. The Indie was one of my favs until we actually wheeled it around, the Vista is so much smoother, but they're both good strollers that get great reviews.
