Has anyone done this? How did it go? I'm signed up for a 5K and strollers are allowed but I'm trying to decide if I want to run alone or with the stroller.
Have you been jogging with your stroller? As long as you are used to it - I was not prepared for pushing the extra 30lbs at first, but now I love it.
Other thought: as a runner who ran lots of races pre-baby just be sure to be considerate and aware of other runners. Not that you would, but I see so many moms cut off runners with their joggers. I almost fell into a baby and stroller when a lady did that to me.
I ran one with DS. I think he liked watching all the people. I just started at the back, litterally and then passed people. I didn't want to get stuck in the cluster at the beginning with him. I was a bit nervous but it went fine.
Do you have someone else doing it with you? I had a friend there with me and although she didn't need to do anything it was nice knowing I had support if I needed.
I did one with DS a few weeks ago and he loved it! I have been running with him the stroller for a while so we are both used to it. He just hung out and watched all of the people. Someone tried to talk to him before the race and he refused to smile- just had his serious "game face" on. Too funny!
