2 in daycare -- how much is this going to cost?

My DD is currently within the infant room at a Kindercare.  Before the second arrives, she will be in the toddler room.  Is there any incentive to bringing in another child?  How will we ever afford this?  EEK

Daycare costs are outrageous.  If our timing works out the way we are hoping, we will have one in the toddler room and one in the infant room.  It's going to cost us about $2100/month.  Luckily, I make enough money that it is still possible to pay for daycare and still have money leftover.  However, for some families it doesn't balance out financially and ends up being more cost-effective for one parent to stay home.

My daughter is 4 1/2 at each center she has been at (larger, well known ones) they have NOT offered a discount for the second child.  The rates usually go down as the children go up into the other rooms, but ther rates typically increase about 5% each year.  Ask your director.  They should be able to tell you the rates for the toddler room.
