Parenting after a Loss

So happy, and can't stop crying!

I know that hormones are going crazy in my body since birth, so I expected to be a little emotional when we got home, but MAN - I cannot stop crying.  I have to keep reassuring DH that it's not because I'm sad.  I've never been happier in my entire life!  I just have a lot of emotion and don't know how else to express it.  I feel like an infant - I don't know what to say or do, so I'll just cry.  And it's the stupidest things that set me off - like I went shopping with Charlotte the other day just to get out of the house and when I got home DH said he wished I had waited for him so we could go together, and I felt so bad for not waiting that I burst into tears.  So dumb, but I guess it's par for the course at this point.  Oh well!

  • It'll pass.  I was a crying mess.  I was at my worst in the evenings and seemed to cry in my dinner plate for almost 2 weeks.

  • Oh I am right there with you girl!  Yesterday DH was changing Stella's diaper and realized it was #2 so he joked "Ok honey, this one is for you!"  I started crying b/c 1. I'm exhausted and 2. I wanted him to finish changing her (which he was going to anyway) since I am the one doing most of the feedings and want him to do stuff, too.

I've heard it gets better, but that happens at least 5 times a day.  It's actually become quite comical, lol!

  • I sure know how you feel!!  It took me a few weeks for the emotions to finally level off and stop crying!
