Okay ladies i need your help...Background on the name: Dh's father's name is Donald (Don) and he works out of the country. Dh is very close to him and i came across this name and thought it would be a cute way to honor his father. Dh likes it and i think i do too my issue is i cant seem to find a good flow with a middle name. Any suggestions? Also Wdyt of the name for a girl? Does it sound too much like a boy name?

I love it! My bf's name is Dawnielle and we call her Dawn. In elementary school we called her Dawnie :0)

I think it's sweet, and although could sound like a boy's name, the spelling is girly. Middle name- that's a hard one. I thought of Dawn Nicole and Dawn Michelle... GL!

Dawn does not sound like a boys name, but it's not really mystyle.

What do you think of Donna? That would make a little more sense considering Donald is his name.

Dawn to me is kind of on par with Crystal and Angel, but that may just be because of where I live (eastern NC).  Here, at least, it seems to be a favorite of the trailer park set. 

If you use it I would say give her a very traditional mn in case she'd rather go by that someday.

My name is Dawn Michele. I was named after my dad (Donald). I have met a few Dawn Marie's.  Only a few times I've gotten the "don like a boy name" when i told people my name.  Very rarely met Dawn's my age (26) They are mostly older women.

I know a few Dawns and never thought of it as a boy's name.  I like that it has meaning and it's pretty!

It's my middle name and I have always like it. I was also named for a male Don, that never bothered me. Go for it!

My DD has this as a middle name, but we actually considered it as a first name as well.
