Help needed with shower prizes, please!!

I tried posting on the shower board but am not getting many hits. I'm helping with a friends shower and am in charge of games and prizes for the games. anyone have good prize ideas?

The centerpieces if you use flowers are always good. Starbucks gift cards or since it's nicer out what about ice cream store gift cards.

I always do food or another like consumable.  Who needs more candles/stationary/lotion?

I was going to say this exactly - these two things (flowers and starbucks) are what we gave away at my showers. :-)

Gift cards are a great idea (starbucks, ice cream).  Chocolates, flowers and/or stuff from Bath and Body Works.

We did fun prizes that we made from AC Moore kit. 

Also, we had cute "loser prizes" that coordinated to the game (they were a bigger hit:).  We had an InTouch Magazine for Celebrity Baby Names, a measuring tape for the Measure the Mom's Belly. 

I can email you the pics I took of the game packs I did.  Drop me a PM and I'll send it to you.  I had "packets" made from print your own wedding stationary from AC Moore.  They had it in the clearance section and it was $10 for all of the paper supplies, which included the coordinating ribbon, etc.  I made clothes pins (well, not the pins) off white with hand painted polka dots to coordinate to the colors of the shower.   It was great because guests picked up a packet on their way in and didn't have to get back up and shuffle around for supplies or pass them out.

 For my bridal and baby showers, the moms bought a few small ($5) gift cards).  For bigger games, the prizes were the centerpieces -- each one was a small basket with a different "theme" (e.g., one was a popcorn bowl filled with popcorn, candy, and a gift card for a DVD, one was filled with lotion/bubble bath, one had a mug with teas/coffees, etc.).  They were a big hit, and with two people splitting the cost (and just a few tables), it wasn't too expensive.

For my baby shower this is what we did:

There were 12 tables and we bought 12 pacifiers and taped the pacifiers under one chair at every table. At the beginning of the shower my cousin announced for everyone to look under their chairs. If and when you look under your chairs if there was a pacifier than you one the centerpiece on the table.

When I was opening the gifts we did the timer game. The timer went off every 2 mins and the gift that I was opening at the time the timer went off would get a gift. For gifts we did theme gifts...we went to TJmax and found great buys. These were some of the ideas.....Pink and white handmade dish rags with pink cadles, cute ice cream bowls and ice cream scoopers with jimmies and recipes, vases with water candles, handsoaps and lotions that came as a set together for a bathroom, recipe jars ( all the ingerdients is in the jar and the recipe is tagged at the top..they are super cute)!! These were some of the things that we did!! Hope this helps!!!!

Everyone also got favors. We did a tiffany blue theme for everything because we were having a boy. So we did baby CD's that I made that had a baby theme to it. For example, "Baby I need your loving", The Cd was adorable. It had a bit of country and celine some other artists too but it was a hit and everyone loved it. And we also did baby blue tiffany boxes tied with blue like tiffany bows and filled them with blue and white M&M's that said "baby boy" on them.
