timing feeding question

in Babies: 0 - 3 Months
do you count from the time you start the feeding or finish. For example if ds starts his bottle at 7 and finishes it at 8 and then has his next bottle at 10.  I say he eats every 3 hrs.  Dh counts from the time ds finishes the bottle. Just wondering what you do.

    Just like contractions... from beginning to beginning... I do try and count from the time she really latches on or really perks up to eat, not just when I'm trying to coax her.
