So just out of curiousity and assuming you have pets. What if your pets started peeing all over LO's stuff? What if they got aggressive toward LO? Would you still honor this "lifelong committment" to them?
Sigh. No. That's not what I said. What I said was this: "I remember that I made a lifelong commitment to care for these pets and having a baby (or two) doesn't make my pets any less deserving of my love and care. "
Having a baby and suddenly deciding my pets are too much work/disgusting/whatever = not a legit reason to dump pets. Harming my child = legit reason. If any of my pets (I have three) bit my children, they'd be rehomed. That's a non-negotiable because it's an actual threat to my kids' well being/life.
As for the other question you had, yes. My cats have peed on baby items, and my dog has chewd baby things - mostly DS's when he first came home. They were doing what pets do - being moody and irritable and showing me their displeasure. I cleaned or replaced as necessary and found a way to eliminate the problem (kept nursery door closed, cleaned litter box more often, walked the dog more often, etc.)
Does that clear things up for you?

I'm well aware that's not what you said. I was just curious because I know people who are completely unwilling to give up pets no matter what they do, including biting.
I grew up in a house where we never got rid of our pets because they were inconvenient! We did get rid of an aggressive dog that bit the mailman but that was it. Plus most of the time if your animals are acting out like you brought up they need more attention and training.
But seriously if someone could tell me how to get the dang cat to stop eatting pacifiers I would love them forevers and evers. Oh and crocs and flip flops. We put them away.. duh. But he hunts stuff down.
Just one more thing.. No offense.. but your nickname mlf625 when I look quick I see milf. No disrespect I swear. I just cant stop thinking that when I see it. I have issues I know hehe
A friend of mine was living at her mother's house for a short while with her two daughters. Her mother's dog attacked and bit the 2 year old on her face and would have killed her if my friend didnt jump in. They both went to the hospital with multiple bites and the little girl, who is 8 now, is scarred on her face for life. The mom still has her dog, and doesnt have a relationship with her daughter. Some people really do put their animals before their children and I think that sucks.

exactly! if people want to treat there pets like kids that's fine...if you don't have kids. when kids come along...they come first no matter what in my book.
Re: **mlf625**
