My good friend's dd#2 is turning 1 and I have no ideas for gifts. We're close friends and usually give nice gifts - especially for first bday parties. The second ones needs nothing! Clothes, toys, bigger items - her sister already has everything and it's passed down. Any ideas? I'm thinking about this for my own girls too.
Re: What do you give to #2 when #1 is the same sex?
yeah that's tough. Honestly, for all my friends this year that had #2 same sex or bday for #2 same, I gave gift cards, Like you, I figured they already have all the typical stuff.
Maybe you can get them a gift certificate for a family portrait or something? I don't know
why the bento stuff? where do you find all the cute picks? how do you cut the food into such little shapes?
lots of questions I know
Books. You can never have too many.
Savings bonds. Boring, but she's one, slap it in a musical card and it's the best gift ever!
You said a "nice gift" which I am assuming means higher priced so how about a pass to the zoo or the children's museum. We got a year place to our zoo for my DS's birthday last year and we used it all the time. It was so wonderful to have a fall back activity that didn't cost anything.
I think I love this idea!
I was also thinking zoo pass or something like that where everyone can enjoy it & get out of the house for a bit!
Restaurtant gift cards for take out?
Hey! I'm happy to share all my secrets! All of the bento products I have (the boxes, picks, food cutters, etc) can be found from the websites listed on the right hand side of the blog. I listed where I shop for all the products I bought and use. Ask away!
I was going to say the same thing! There are reciprocal memberships that you can go to a lot of different museums.
I do like the idea of something personalized. I also like when J gets new clothes. Often when I pull out A old clothes, some things I don't like as much the second time around or it is worn a bit. It is nice to spruce up his wardrobe.
