The headache that won't go away

I've had a headache for 2 days and I can't make it go away. I've tried advil, Excedrin migraine, and even a percoset. I made an appointment with the chiropractor for this afternoon because I'm thinking it may be coming from my neck but if it's not, I give up and am just going to start drinking heavily.

Does anyone have any magical cures for headaches?

I get awful migraines and caffeine helps me sometimes.  I usually take two Excedrin Migraine pills and drink a coke or two.  Sorry you're feeling crappy!

Excedrine Migrane has always worked for me - take two. Headaches are no fun

Thanks... I had given up caffeine but I had 2 Excedrin migraine and am drinking a chi tea.

I'm sorry you have such a bad headache! I get bad migraines as well, and sometimes the Exedrin Migraine doesn't cut it - I take 2 of the Arthritis Strength BC Powders (the green packet) and wash them down with a Coke and a banana. Then close your eyes for 10 mins, and hopefully that will work! It always does for me, and I've gotten migraines since I was 12. I hope you feel better soon!

i totally and completely understand. i am a chronic headache sufferer and once one starts nothing works. i have found migraine med: Maxalt has helped but it's a dr rx and expensive.

but the chiro has helped sooo much. i can't wait to go back today b/c i've had a headache the past two days

I'm really hoping it works because right now I can't do anything. I'm laying on the couch, with the tv turned way down and the blinds closed. I'm useless today!

Migraine sufferer here too and I was going to say almost the exact same thing!  When the headache is bad I take two BC powders (the ones in the blue box) with a can of regular coke. When it is REALLY bad I take a Treximet which is a prescription and very expensive -- think $187 for 9 pills.  I try to curb off the headache before it gets too bad so I don't have to take the prescription.  Those are for emergencies only!
