DH and I were talking that we are pretty sure that we would not be matched up.

ditto this.  Our interests wouldn't really match up.  MH and I are about as different as you can get.

No based on when we met we were opposites as far as personality, hobbies, crowds we hung out with, etc. However we have interests now that we both enjoy because we discovered them together.

I think we have characteristics that maybe a dating site would say"compliment" one another (aka he was the trouble maker and I was the goodie two shoes so I helped him stay out of trouble and I was able to experience the rebel lifestyle without actually being a rebel). 

I still highly doubt it...I think those sites match you based on similar interests/characteristics.
