So I'm watching the Prohaska baby story and am curious as to how it is decided who carries the baby in a same sex couple. Anyone?

Oh, and stewing in my jealousy as to how stunning that woman looks at 9 months prego.

    My mom's best friend's daughter and her partner had a baby last fall.  For them it came down to age.  My mom's friend's daughter is 31 and her partner is 38.  For basic fertility and risk issues, they decided it made sense for the younger partner to carry the baby.

    Well... this happens to be a question I can answer based on experience. When my partner and I decided to have children, she was very clear that she did not want to carry. I have always wanted to carry. Our situation was simple. For others, they decide to switch off. With that said, my partner really wants a biological child. We are considering IVF where I would carry using her eggs and the same donor sperm used to conceive DS. Every couple is different...
