Popularity of Zoey

DH and I are considering Zoey Rose (thank God I got him off Brandy Summer!). 

Was just wondering if anyone thinks this is a popular name (Zoey). We want to stay away from really popular names. I don't think it's too popular in our area, but I wanted to get a general idea from a somewhat anonymous board since we're not telling fam and friends.

I know a few, but it's nothing like "Emma" or "Abigail"

We actually agreed that we liked this name until we thought about the use of it on the Disney channel.

i know it is quite popular, but personally do not know of any kids with that name.

My cousin just had her daughter, Zoe, today! I always thought of it as kind of popular, but when I think of it, I don't hear it often IRL.

I don't think that it is overly popular.  I know two Zoe's but they are older, 8 and 12 years old.

I don't know any Zoe's IRL.  I don't care for the -y on the end though.  Super cute name!  Yes, thank goodness Brandy Summer has gone bye bye.  My best friend's DH is still stuck on the idea of naming their LO Debra Sunshine.  What was your strategy so I can let her know?

I know a Zoe who's just a few weeks old.  She's the only one I know though.

DH & I love the name Zoe!  We're considering it, but we fear it's popularity also.  Two of my friends have mentioned that it's very popular, but that's just their feeling...   

Zoe shows up at #58 on the Top Names in the U.S. list, which doesn't seem that high, but then Zoey is also in the top 100.  So combined, that's a lot of Zoe/Zoeys running around.  

I really like the name, though.  Don't know what we're gonna do!

I said "Stripper Name" and he saw the light. I guess he just hadn't thought of it that way. What can I say,...he's a man.
