Weight question

My LO weighed 7 lbs, 10 oz at birth, dropped to 6 lbs, 11 oz a couple days after birth, and now at 2 months weighs 9 lbs, 11 oz.  His growth curve looks ok, but he's only in the 11th percentile for weight and seems so scrawny ;(  His doc says maybe we need to eat more frequently (he goes anywhere between 2 hrs and 4 hrs between eating, usually 3) but he has plenty of wet/poopy diapers and seems content when awake.  It just has me worried and feeling like maybe I'm doing something wrong??!!  Does anyone else have a smaller LO and can provide some reassurance?  TIA.

My friend's baby is 12 lbs at 4.5 months old! My DS is 15.5 lbs at 11 weeks!! Every baby is different. Try feeding your LO every 2 hrs during the day and see if it makes a difference.

Your baby would let you know if he/she was hungry.

My little one was only 8 lbs 11 oz at 2 months - approaching the 10th percentile!  The peds didn't seem concerned because she was gaining weight.

DD didn't weigh 11 lbs until she was 4 mos.  i wouldn't worry about it too much especially if your DS is content.  he'll pick up weight eventually.
