Headache Help

Hi, I'm kind of new around here.  I've been reading a lot but this is my first post.  I am 23 weeks pregnant today and have been struggling with severe headaches/ migraines my whole pregnancy.  My doctor gave me a script for Tylenol 3 but they make me really sick to my stomach.  I drink a ton of water every day and have a regular coca cola when it is really bad.  Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with these?  My doctor says T3 is all she can perscribe to me.

 Thanks in advance!

Sorry, no advice, but I know how it is. When I get a headache, it is usually bad and lasts for days. Tylenol does nothing for me and never has.

  • I have heard to try drinking G2, the low cal Gatorade, or peppermint tea but haven't tried either yet.  I'll let you know how it goes, maybe we'll find something that works for you too! Smile
  • Have you tried eating with the T3's? If not, try that.
  • Normally I don't advocate for taking anything more than tylenol but..... When I was about 8 weeks I threw my back out really bad at work (could barely walk/sit/move).... My family doctor gave me a prescription for Vicoden which shocked me and I didn't want to take it. However, she assured me that it is safe to take ( she only suggested one tablet per day max.). I double-checked with my OB who also told me it was safe, it is actually an acetomenophen based drug (just like tylenol). I avoided taking it unless it was absolutely necessary, and would only take half. Like I said I'm not advocating for drugs here, but you could always ask your doctor so you don't have to be in constant pain.
