Disney experts. IYO-when is the best time to go?

Taking in the weather and how crowded it will be? I know there are sites to research it, I just wanted to get some opinions off of here. Thanks!

  • World or Land ?

World, avoid Florida from late June - mid October, it's hot and muggy as hell.

  • We went to DW during spring break a few years ago, and it was already muggy.  Definitely avoid spring break timeframe, as it is super super crowded.  We are leaving this Saturday for DW with our kids, and the forecast doesn't seem *too* bad despite it being even later in the year.  But, I know (from DW boards) that it is not crowded at all.

We considered going in the fall for better rates, but it turned out we were only saving like $50 or so,

  • We just came back from there this past weekend with our 4 and 2 yr olds.  It was beautiful weather, 80s and sunny...however, that isn't always so good with two young ones. It was hot!!  4 yr old would get tired of walking, 2 yr old never wanted to sit in the stroller.  And some of the stuff really scared my 2 yr old.  I told DH we won't be going back for at least 5 more years as we are expecting baby #3 soon.  I want to go when they are out of their stroller and I think FALL would be a great time to go!!!

  • late Fall - the weather and crowds are better then

I live an hour from the park.  It is very crowded and hot!  The best (read least crowded) time is now through early June.  The weather is great

  • The fall after Halloween and before thanksgiving is great.  Also, after New years day and before spring break is nice.

  • Early November, the week right after Thanksgiving or Late March.  I think it's still too cold in January-February although it is not too crowded.
  • We went in Feb and I liked it.  No lines and good Disney weather.  It was nice enough, but not too hot.  Not great pool weather, though.
