I have been having intense sciatic pain. Not the nerve but the actual joint...It is called the sacroillium and it gives me a stabbing pain in my left butt cheek when I walk, turn, bend, shift my weight etc. I am on vacation in CA and can barely walk. I am wondering if I can use a thermacare heat wrap on my butt for a few minutes at a time. What do you ladies think?

Re: Thermacare Heat wraps
I have chronic low back pain (have had it for 10 years now) and usually take some 'good meds' for it- however while pregnant obviously can't take those.
My dr.'s and nurse-mid-wives ok'd the heat wraps- as long as I don't lay on my back with one on (concentrating the heat more).
So, just be careful with how hot it gets you, but as for my case I've gotten the ok.
Thanks! I think I will call my Dr tomorrow and just make sure. I am in intense pain, and will have to do something more permanent but I am on vacation and need some temporary relief.
