The tape/glue on my incision is totally nasty and starting to come off in places. The doctor said it would come off on its own but I am wondering if I can at least remove the parts that are coming off on their own. They are doubling over on themselves and pulling at the incision. I have a horrible picture of the tape coming off and the incision opening back up. How long before your tape was removed? Thanks!

I pulled my off after about a week while in the shower (started to come off on it's own anyways...)

I pulled the ones that where rolling off.  At my 2 week pp apt. the dr. took the rest off.  It felt 100x better, they were pulling at my cut and really irratating it.  It might open a little bit just from the pulling.

My incision was only glued, but from my experience with other surgical procedures I would trim off the hanging parts and leave the rest.

I didn't touch mine at all even though somke edges were starting to come off. Yesterday at my appointment the doc pulled the tape off and it feels so much better now! How long until your appointment?

I left mine on until about 5 weeks PP. I clipped off the edges of the tape that was peeling with clippers.

I had staples, and they were removed 1 week PP.

I didnt touch that stuff until my 6 week appointment. When I went she just took a wetwipe and rubbed it off...all gone.

If they are starting to peel away, then they are ready to start coming off.  In the shower just start pulling at them a little.  You would be surprised at how much it DOES NOT hurt, like not at all.  I know you are probably afraid of pain because the incision is so sensitive, but really, if they are ready to come off, they will just fall off once you pull a little
