Name Berry and Harry Potter

https://nameberry.com/blog/2009/08/10/harry-potter-names-beyond-harry-hermione/

I've never seen this site before, so sorry if this is a repeat post. They have a whole section dedicated to Harry Potter...a link I found when I looked up my daughter's name, Emmeline.

Dude, and Penelope means Duck.

Re: Name Berry and Harry Potter

  • interesting.....I quite enjoyed the Harry Potter movies, but naming a child after the movies would be weird.

I do work with a woman named Arminta (Ar-men-ta) which is close to the name Araminta on that list.  I think its a dutch or scandinavian name?  i could be wrong......something tells me im wrong.

  • I love the name Sirius and the meaning of it, but I don't think we'll use it. I just the the "Are you serious?" joke could get old really fast

  • Awesome! There are plenty of "normal" names in the Harry Potter books, though. Seamus, Dean, James, Lily, Katie. My cat is Bellatrix (Bella).
