Moms with sons ?

DS prefers me over anyone, unless he sees Papa (my dad/FIL) then he wants nothing to do with me. He does get very excited when DH gets home from work, he can hear his truck backing up and runs to the door to wait for him. After a brief hug he's back to hanging out on my hip.

DD has been attached to me since day 1. I can't leave the house for 5 minutes without a complete meltdown.

Eh, Jeremy is very social and pretty much loves everyone.  He is a daddy's boy, though, I think because my husband works insanely long hours and doesn't see him very much.

DS goes in phases. Sometimes he only wants Daddy for a week and then the next week he won't consider anyone but me.

However my Dad (pappy) is ALWAYS #1. lol

My son prefers me over pretty much anyone. I love it, but momma needs a break!

DS loves DH, but when it's a choice between the two of us, he always prefers me, and usually prefers me over anyone else. I stay home with him though, and I think that's part of the reason.

Yes, Liam is definitely more attached to me than DH. Sometimes it really hurts DH's feelings.

I disagree about girls being more attached to their dads though. It definitely wasn't true in my family- both my sister and I despise my dad, and always have.

For most of their lives, both boys have seemed pretty equally attached to both parents. In the past month or so though, Will has been in a "Mommy" phase and Alex in a "Daddy" phase.
