5. Did you use any pain management drugs?  Which ones?  Side effects? Yes, because of c/s and epi.

1.  Was LO early, on time, or late? On time- Started labor on our early due date estimate and had him 52 hours later on our late due date estimate.

2.  Did your water break before L&D? before.  Actually I started leaking as my first sign of labor

3. Were you induced?  And if so, with what method(s)? no

4.  Did you end up with an unplanned C/S? no

5. Did you use any pain management drugs?  Which ones?  Side effects?  I had planned on no medications, but ended up with an epidural.  I hated the feeling of the numb legs and had a back ache for 2 weeks after labor.

DD was right on time.

Nope, labour stalled in the hospital so the Dr. broke my water.

3. Were you induced?  And if so, with what method(s)?
Nope, labour began on it's own.  Although, like I said above, the Dr. did have to get me to progress more by breaking my water.

4.  Did you end up with an unplanned C/S?
No.

5. Did you use any pain management drugs?  Which ones?  Side effects?
No drugs, just deep breathing/moaning and various positions.  Also, the shower helped a lot.  If I were to get drugs, I would have opted for the nitrous oxide (laughing gas) - no side effects.  I was in so much pain, I wouldn't have been able to sit still for an epidural even if I wanted one.

2.  Did your water break before L&D? My water broke right after my epi on its own. I was around a 6 and shot from a 6-10 in like 30 minutes!

3. Were you induced?  And if so, with what method(s)? No.

4.  Did you end up with an unplanned C/S? No. Thank God.

5. Did you use any pain management drugs?  Which ones?  Side effects? Epidural (it was heaven) got it at 5cm. The ONLY side effect Ive had - is sometiems if I stand up too fast or cough or sneeze I can feel where it went in.. I get a sharp "pain" where it went in.. not too painful.. but it gets my attention!!!

I agree about the epi - I shook alot while in labor.. and for several hours afterwards.. they said it was competely normal and told me not to fight the shakes or youd be sore the next day.

she was born on her due date.

the midwife broke my water at 7cm.

3. Were you induced?  And if so, with what method(s)?

I was scheduled for an induction the following evening but I had accupuncture the day before and I think that's what jump started things.  I highly recommend it!

4.  Did you end up with an unplanned C/S?

Nope

5. Did you use any pain management drugs?  Which ones?  Side effects?

 i had fentinol (sp?) prior to getting my epidural.  No side effects from either except I got a pretty bad case of the chills from everything in my IV.
