We didn't get much. New bottle nipples, pacis, another changing pad, a few new outfits because the season will be different, etc. We didn't even get a crib since I'm not sure yet if we will actually need it. We are using DD's carseat and my mom brought us my old bedroom furniture for little baby.
Ours are the same gender, but even if they weren't the only thing we would need would be boy clothes.
I'd be surprised if we spent $100. The major cost for us is medical bills.
Re: What did you buy for DC#2?
-diapers (if you didn't do cloth)
-basic clothes if #2 is a different gender. If they're the same and were born in different seasons, you may need to buy some of the basics again.
-some special room decor just for #2, ie. a special name plaque
And then the big things...
-a second bed and the fixings for that
-a second car seat
-a stroller that fits two

This is my list so far even though I haven't bought half of it yet
Another crib, dresser, bookshelf, bedding for her room.
A new stroller, monitor and diaper bag all for 2 kids.
Washcloths, pacifiers, clothes, etc.
Diapers, wipes, etc.
A larger diaper bag.
New nipples for the bottles (we FF).
A double stroller.
We moved DC#1 into the guest bedroom and made it into a "big boy" room for DC#1. We then moved the new baby into the nursery (it was gender neutral).
Everyone gives clothes as gifts. So I honestly didn't have to buy a single piece of clothing until DC#2 was 6 months old.
A few new outfits. They will be born in the same season but I didn't want DD2 to wear all hand me downs.
Diaper bag that will fit everything I need for a toddler and an infant.
Diapers, wipes, pacifiers.
A new cover for the changing pad and a new waterproof mattress cover for the crib.
A twin size bed (for DD#1) with bedding. Have to buy her a new dresser still...DD#2 will get the changing table/dresser combo.
Other than that...nothing really. With them so close in age, being born in the same season and being the same gender there isn't much that we need.
