Swimming Trunks

We are thinking about going on a family vacation to Galveston for a couple of days and I bought DS some super cute swim trunks.  But I don't know what to put underneath them.  I looked at the little swimmers but their smallest size is 16 lbs and that is WAY too big for DS.  I know he needs something under his swim trunks but I am drawing a blank as to what because I know a diaper would just instantly soak up all the water.  Any Suggestions??

You'll probably want to look into a reusable swim diaper, but IDK if they make them that small.

Remember - swim diapers aren't meant to keep urine in, only poo.  So you're aren't looking for anything absorbant.
