Middle name for Isaac?

We know we're naming our little guy Isaac, but are at a loss as far as middle names go.

Both of our fathers' names are Robert, so we've talked about Robert, but it just sounds kind of... blah? to me.

Isaacs is my mom's maiden name, which is why we chose Isaac as the first name.  DH's mom's maiden name is Scott, but I don't like how Isaac Scott _____ sounds... I feel like it doesn't flow...

Our last name is 2 syllables, ends with an S and is a common male first name. 

 Thoughts?

I really like the name Isaac and the fact that it's your mom's maiden name just makes it all the better.  I think Isaac Scott sounds great together, even with your last name as you describe it.  I think Robert would work too, but I like Isaac Scott a lot better.  Very cool way to honor both of your moms!

I just want to add, too, that we're not completely stuck on the idea of using a family name for the middle name.  I'm open to suggestions

• James
• Joseph
• Lee

There are a lot more names out there too!

I would personally go with a family name as a middle name (especially since both of your fathers are named that) and use Isaac Robert. I think it sounds nice.

I love Isaac Robert and Isaac Scott! I don't see why they would clash with a 2syl last name. If it were me, I would HAVE to go with one of them. Family significance trumps ALL!

I don't think Isaac Robert or Isaac Scott sound bad at all.  If I were in your shoes, I would do Isaac Robert to include your DH's family.

I think Isaac Robert... that name has meaning to you both because of your dad's. and that is a nice way to honor them.
