Anyone ever use Ecofresh or any other green cleaning company?

I would appreciate any info you have on ecofresh or another green cleaning service you have used.  Being a working mama is tough and I need more time with LO on the weekend so I'm looking into a cleaning service.  TIA for any info!

Re: Anyone ever use Ecofresh or any other green cleaning company?

  • We used Ecofresh about three times and Id give them a HUGE F, however, they have a philly branch and chester county branch so maybe the chester county one is better. The first time the manager type person came out with the crew because they were shorthanded and the cleaning was very good, only a few minor problems. The second time was also decent but not as good as the first and the third time was horrible. There were MANY issues, including dirty dust rags being left on my bed and areas that were clearly never cleaned or vaccuumed. I called and emailed and relayed my displeasure with the service pleasantly but firmly and never got a return call. On their website it claims that you can let them know of any dissatisfaction and they will come to remedy it for free, but thats totally not true since the manager didnt even acknowledge that he received my calls or emails and I tried to contact him many times.

We have since starting using a local woman (per the reccomendation of another nestie) who is a SAHM and does cleaning a couple times a week. Shes still not up to my neat freak husband's standards but shes pretty good, much cheaper and still uses almost all eco friendly products so we've found it to be worthwhile. If youre in the delaware county area I can give you her info.

  • Thanks, but I'm in Philly.  I already booked my initial cleaning with ecofresh and now I'm wondering if I should just cancel it.

  • Well maybe youll have a better experience than I did. And like I said, the first time was actually pretty good. If I remember correctly my only qualm with the first cleaning was that they didnt sweep under the couch (you could see the dust line on the hardwood floors), they left lights on all over the house, and someone bumped the thermostat and put the heat up to over 90 degrees so it was sweltering when I got home and my poor cats were hiding in the one cool part of the basement! However, Im guessing that both the lights and the heat were accidental so I wouldnt anticipate that to happen to you.

I was more unhappy with how my concerns went completely unanswered but they were more than attentive when it involved giving them money! I thought if I ever had an issue with them in the future, if they damaged something while cleaning etc I would never be able to get in touch with them or get the situation resolved and that made me uncomfortable to have them in my home when I didnt trust them.

  • Would you be willing to send me the contact information for your cleaning person? We are in Media and now that the weather is nice, it would be nice to avoid cleaning on the weekends and be outside with the baby instead!
  • KLF--you have a PM!
