Cooking question

I planned on pork tenderloin for dinner tonight but forgot to take it out of the deep freezer. I decided to go for it anyway and put it frozen in the crockpot on low all day. Just got home from some running and checked on it and it's falling apart already. It's one oclock here and dh just got word that he's getting overtime. If I leave it in there until 6 when he gets home, it's obviously going to be inedible. Should I pull it out and put it in the fridge and just reheat it when he gets home? Is there a better way that won't totally ruin it?

Re: Cooking question

  • I'm sure the fridge would be fine.  You could also throw in some liquid (broth or stock) to make sure it stays moist and then switch your crock-pot to warm and I think it would keep ok as well.

  • What lotte said. I usually add extra liquid and turn it to warm. Always keeps nice.
