I was on vacation for a couple weeks in March and had to fill my prescription early so I had enough pills. Well then when I needed to go in and get more, I had to wait a week because of my insurance. It was beyond awful I tell you!! I was dizzy, light headed, naucious, very little patience and tired all the time. Much worse than my ppd issues to begin with.
After only two days of taking my ssri again, I'm back to happy me. Thank God!
Re: Withdrawl symptoms are beyond awful!!
Ugh, what a PITA! I'm glad that you are feeling better again! What med are you taking? From my experience, when a med does that to me during withdrawals (and when I start taking it), I know that it is really working to correct my chemical imbalances.
Your LO and puppy are precious! I have a dog that loves to give licky kisses like that too (he goes for the tonsils!).
My prescription is for Zoloft (I'm still bf'ing) but I take a generic form of it. Sertraline.
In the past, I dealt with terrible side effects from Effexor. It was hard because no other antidepressant worked as well for me as Effexor.
When I had to go back on meds for my PPD, my psychiatrist said that Pristiq is like the next generation of Effexor, minus a lot of the negative side effect. WhenI started takingit, I felt off and not good, but he had me take it every other day for a week, then go back to once a day. It has helped me SO MUCH!!!
