NPR: meat question costco vs safeway

Who is going to have better meat? Dh I guess wants prime rib for Easter dinner. Safeway and Costco have them for the same price per lb. Dh wants me to pick one up at costco because that's where his boss always gets his. I have a gift card for safeway that will cover most of the first lb so it will be less comming out of our pockets there there then costco. I'm also not sure how the lines will be at costco. Which place would you rather go or would have a better cut if meat?

Costco.  I think they have some of the best meat around.

Guess I will go to costco get the meat and get the veggies at safeway. Any fruit or veggies we buy from costco go bad with in a day or 2 where safeway will last atleast 1-2 more days.

I usually buy our prime rib at Costco at Christmas time and it has always been outstanding.

definitely costco. I believe safeway sells "select" grade meat, and costco sells "choice" grade, which is a higher grade

all my steaks from costco have been really good.
