Going out of the house without needing a logistics degree.
Going out to dinner without having to blow on someone elses food, holding the cup so someone doesn't fling said cup of milk at unsuspecting diners, and playing tic tac toe on the back of a kid's menu (although that part will come later for you, it's my nightmare right now).
We were going out as much as we could (out to dinner with friends, museum, movies, etc) since we knew it would be difficult to just head out and go once baby arrived. It helped me to be "prepared" with the nursery set, house clean, etc. but not everyone needs to have all that done (I'm just a bit of a control freak )
I was super nervous too and nearly cried from fear when my water broke but it will be alright. I had read so many books, blogs, birth stories, etc. that I was freaked out by all the "what ifs" but ended up with a smooth delivery. Everything will work out and be okay. So relax and enjoy the last few weeks before baby arrives.
Go on a date...or 3. Sleep in, or just lie in bed till noon. Spend a day watching movies or DVR stuff. Go to the movies. Hang out with friends.
I think by about 37 weeks I was in a frenzy cleaning and getting Christmas stuff set up because I didn't want my baby to come home to a dirty house with no Christmas tree. yeah...cause he'd so know.
I also got my hair done one last time and got a pedicure the week before I had him.
Re: what should i be doing at 37 weeks??
Napping? Enjoying a leisurely meal? Going to the bathroom when you need to, not when you have a spare second?
Congrats and good luck!
