Eco-Friendly Family

help me be excited about this:

My dh is looking at jobs at different colleges around the state.  If he got one, we'd be near family and I could be a SAHM instead of him being a SAHD.  The draw for him working instead of me is that if he's at a college he can do his grad/doctorate classes for free, which would amazing b/c he's planning on staying home next year since we can't afford for him to take classes right now.

The only downside: I hate moving! I have every summer for the last 5 years and I just got settled in here, not to mention finishing the bathroom and nursery.

Re: help me be excited about this:

  • SAHM and near family - that sounds fabulous!!  I'd think being near family will make the transition MUCH easier than without.  It sounds like a good opportunity for both of you, especially if you wanted to SAH.

  • Oh, I do, really really want to...and I would love to be near family.  I just hate packing boxes, lol.  So I guess I'm asking for good luck wishes for him, too!
  • I agree, moving sucks.  But think of it this way:  Moving this time to help him get a degree, would put you that much closer to a forever home.  (((hugs)))

  • Well, good luck to him!!!  Hopefully it works out and you are both fabulously happy and secure there!!!  *fingers crossed*

  • Hire movers :P

I hate moving, too. But, I can tell you that an employee tuition benefit is awesome!

  • Best of luck!  And definitely hire movers - I can't imagine packing at 8 months pregnant.
