Swaddle Free

Tonight is our first attempt at putting Stella to bed without a swaddle.  She went down without a problem.  Here's hoping she stays that way!!

  • Good luck!

I'm curious, how did you decide it was time to lose the swaddle?  I feel like we are getting close, but I'm dreading it.  I will most likely put it off as long as possible, lol.

  • Honestly, the main reason is because she's getting too big for her swaddles and I'm too cheap to go buy bigger ones.  Plus she's rolling now and I think it's only a matter of time before she starts rolling in her swaddle during sleep.  So far she's doing great, but I'm not sure how the rest of the night will play out.

Oh my gosh this makes me feel so much better.  I thought we were late in breaking Sam of the swaddle. ::clutches the swaddle sacks for dear life:::

    this!!!

  • If it doesn't work, give it a few days. Henry was forced out of the swaddle when he was in the hospital around 4 months and we don't miss it at all!
