Babies on the Brain

Should I wake him?

I know I need to eat dinner, obviously.  I seemed to have passed the majority of this spaz-session and still feel sick, but it's probably hunger nausea.

H was dx with tonsilitis last night and proceeded to fall asleep on the couch today at like 5:30 something.  If I go out to get something (there's not a whole lot here and I need to eat sooner rather than later), there's a chance he'll either wake up while I'm gone or wake after i get back and be mad I didn't wake him up first.

BUT, if I wake him up now, he's not likely to get back to sleep easily tonight and he might not even be hungry anyways.

Do I wake the beast or take the chance he's going to stay asleep? :-)

He's the single greatest thing I've done in my life and reminds me daily of how fun (and funny) life can be.  He's turned out pretty swell for having such a heartless and evil mother.

Re: Should I wake him?

  • I would ask or go and bring him back something and then if he wakes up, he'll have it.

  • I would try to wake him to just tell him you're heading out to get food and you'll bring him something if he wants.

I know if I fell asleep at 5:30 I'd be awake for the day around 3am sick or not.  I'd appreciate being woken in that situation, even if it's just to eat something and watch a little TV before going back to bed.

    this.

p.s. i miss you! how are you doing?

  • Depends on your H. If he's the type that would be upset at you for waking him then let him sleep. If he'd want to wake up now so he could eat and not wake up at 3am and be all messed up sleep wise then wake him. Sorry to be non commital but it really depends on how he is.
