Is it usually recommended to get one of these in the nursery? What does it actually do for the baby? We plan on getting one hooked up to our furnace for the whole house, will that be sufficient?
It keeps the air from being to dry so they dont get congested (possibly colds). Note that too much humidity in the air is not good either and can lead to mold issues.
My parents always used one for me when I had pneumonia. I still use one for myself with chest and/or sinus congestion and will do the same for DD. But like previous poster said, if you run it all the time you can cause mold in the nursery...
