CPW: I know that this has been asked before...

So here is the story... I am 4DPO... Next Friday (13DPO) DH and I are flying to Texas to visit our friends and there 3 week old baby.  I was 8 weeks behind her when I was pg.  I am so thrilled for them and I know that I will be okay when we are down there.  The last time I got a +HPT it was at 10DPO.  So... I am not sure when to test.... When would you?  Do I wait until 13DPO.... the day we leave.  Or test early???

    If it were me......I would just want to go ahead and find out prior to the day you leave.  Especially if it were a BFN, so I would have some time to get my mind straight.

    I personally would wait until you got back.  That way if it's a bfn you won't be upset during the trip. If you get a bfp would you tell your friend while you were there?

    I'd test 12DPO.  You have a good shot of getting a positive and then you can compose yourself before the trip!

    I would like to think I would not say a word if it was a +hpt... DH and I would like to not tell anyone IRL until 2nd trimester... But it would be hard not to say anything... plus she know we are trying again so she might guess.  

    Oh yeah..... i did not mention this... I have a 12 day LP.

    I would test at 12 DPO. That way, you have a day to wrap your head around a negative result before you leave. Good luck to you, whenever you decide to test!

    this. i would test 11 or 12, but prob 12.  that way you have time to mentally prepare/stabilize
