Sex Ed FAIL.. Check-out counter conversation..

I was at a PetSmart yesterday and while checking out, the kid behind the counter asks me.. "Hey, can I ask you something?" I say go for it.. and he says, "How do you know if a girl's pregnant?" I gave him an Evil Eye and thought he was trying to be a jackass and ask me if I was just fat or if I was pregnant (for the record, I'm still in that thickness stage..no real bump yet) so I said, Excuse me? And he busts out.. "Well my girlfriend hasn't had her period in over two months and I'm starting to think she may be pregnant.. What do you think?? She doesn't know what to do.." <-- my face. I said, Well sounds like you need to take a trip to the store and buy a pregnancy test, or go to a doctor... Thinking back on it now I wish I would've said something more clever, he seriously just took me off guard. Do kids not know about condoms/birth control?? Or at the very least.. do they not know about pregnancy tests?!

I was guessing 16.. he looked very very young, but if he was working there he was at least 16.. I was so surprised he felt so free to give out this information to a complete stranger.
