Hi all - for betas 1 & 2 at 14 & 16 dpo, my progesterone was 17. For my third beta, it was down to 11. The nurse said it is ok and that progesterone fluctuates hourly...but that was two days ago and I'm still thinking about this. My ultrasound isn't for another week and I'm worried that if my progesterone is dropping that I should be on a suppository before then.
What do you guys think? Would you call your RE and see about getting another blood draw to check before the next ultrasound?
Thanks!
Re: Progesterone levels in early pg - question
it does fluctuate a lot. here is a website that says levels:
that said though....is this IVF because I would think it would be higher with PIO or suppositories.

I have a p4 issue, and from what I hear, adding in supps after the (low) fact does not do any good.
FWIW, my lil' Ava was about a 16 at that time, and obviously she's fine.
But I'll be honest, that's kinda low. Yes it varies and flukes, but...
I would call for another beta and p4 to ease your mind! GL!!! (what were betas 1-2?)
ETA - NM. I saw them in your sig. Decent betas. ask for one more ;-)
JGirl - no, this was IUI and I was not prescribed PIO, etc.
Davez - at betas 1&2 progesterone was at 17, then down to 11 at beta 3. My HCG is steadily rising though- 88, 255, 1054
From the research I have done, I agree that even if it is low, a suppository wouldn't help at this point. I think I will call them tomorrow to see if I can just do a blood draw to ease my mind though b/c this worrying is making me crazy.
I hope you get a good jump on the next one and I would ask for another draw. It wouldn't hurt to pop a suppository, but it may not help, but won't hurt (i think).
mine fluctuated from 30 to 40 to 30 or something like that on a non- ART cycle. With PIO, mine was always higher than that.
Nicolita - you are officially my favorite person of the week! This gives me hope. I am heading in tomorrow for another draw so fingers crossed for a nice increase to ease my mind.
Were you monitored regularly since your levels were so close to 10? IE blood draws every few days?
